Mineral Sands

Oresome holds 100% of the Cape York Mineral Sands Project, the project is made up of four Exploration Permits for Minerals (EPM’s) and eight EPM Applications (EPMA’s) covering approximately 2,000km2 of western Cape York as well as one Mining Lease Application over Urquhart Point located approximately 5km south west of Weipa, in far North Queensland.  

In August 2011, Oresome entered into a Right to Explore and Option to Purchase Agreement  with Rio Tinto Exploration Pty Ltd on the Gippsland Heavy Mineral Sands Project in Victoria. The first drilling program (43 holes, 2,290m) was completed in December 2011 with the maiden JORC resource estimate using over 240 drill holes is expected in March 2012.

Oresome is continuing to expand its scope of interest if suitable potential projects arise.
